The agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Boost Sports Technologies LLC ("CoachBoost," "we," "us") and govern your use of the CoachBoost apps, the website at getcoachboost.com and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use CoachBoost on behalf of a school, club or other organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for it.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to create a CoachBoost account.
- If you are under 18, you may use CoachBoost only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
- Coaches who invite minors to a Program are responsible for following their school's or organization's rules about communicating with athletes and for obtaining any permissions those rules require.
Accounts and Programs
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- A coach who creates a Program is its owner and controls its teams, roster, roles and settings. The owner can invite staff, players and parents with a team code and can transfer ownership to another coach on staff.
- Members of a Program see information according to their role, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and free trials
- Plan. CoachBoost is sold as a subscription for each Program, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown in the app and on our pricing page when you subscribe. A subscription covers up to three active teams in that Program. Players, staff and families do not pay.
- Free trial. Each new Program receives one 15-day free trial with full access. No payment method is needed to start a trial. When the trial ends, you need an active subscription to keep creating and editing content.
- Billing. Subscriptions are purchased by the Program's billing owner and processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars, and applicable taxes may be added.
- Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time in Subscription & Billing → Manage Billing; cancellation stops the next renewal, and your Program keeps access through the end of the period you've paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, your Program keeps access for a 14-day grace period while you update your payment method.
- Lapsed subscriptions. If a Program has no active subscription or trial, it becomes read-only: existing content stays viewable, but creating and editing content is paused until you subscribe.
- Ownership transfers. When a paying owner transfers a Program, their subscription is set to end at the close of the paid period, the Program keeps access through that date, and the new owner sets up their own billing.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give you notice before a change applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Your content
- You and your Program keep ownership of the content you create in CoachBoost, such as practice plans, drills, messages, goals and evaluations.
- You give us a limited license to host, store, copy, display and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service for you and your Program.
- You are responsible for the content you post and for having the right to post it, including any photos of other people.
- Content you share with a team stays part of that team's history if you leave or delete your account, attributed to "Deleted user," as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- harass, bully, threaten or demean anyone, or post content that is sexual, hateful, violent or otherwise inappropriate for a youth sports setting;
- use CoachBoost to contact minors in ways that violate your school's or organization's policies or the law;
- impersonate someone, or access a Program, team or account you're not authorized to use;
- upload malware, probe or disrupt the Service, or try to get around its security or access controls;
- scrape, resell or copy the Service, or use it to send spam; or
- break any law, or infringe anyone's rights.
Coaches can remove members from their Programs and review peer recognition before it posts. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms.
Third-party services
CoachBoost relies on services such as Apple's App Store, Google Play and Stripe. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service or its support.
Ending your use
- You can stop using CoachBoost at any time and delete your account in the app (Tools → Profile → Delete Account) or by requesting deletion on the web.
- We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users or the Service. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first.
Disclaimers
CoachBoost is a tool to help coaches organize and communicate. It does not provide medical, athletic training, safety or mental health advice, and coaches remain responsible for their decisions about practices, games and athletes. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, CoachBoost will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and for material changes we'll also notify you in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, the updated Terms apply.
